What is Stock Market?

The Stock Market or Share Market is that place where all the financial securities like Share, Mutual funds, Debentures are bought and sold. Share Market is that source where companies raise funds from public.  

What is Share?

In Stock market Share means Partnership in Companies. When you buy some share than you will become a virtual partner of that company or in other words by buying share you are making an investment in that company. When company grows value of your share too will increase.

Why There is need of Stock Market?

• Stock market is that legal source which provides security  to investors and companies.
• It helps in circulating the money in the market. The more money circulated the more economy of country grows.
• It saves time and cost. You can easily access and transact from anywhere in the world.

Stock Exchanges in India

There is Two Stock Exchanges in India.

Bombay Stock  Exchange (BSE) is India's first and largest Stock Exchange where more than 5000 companies are listed. Its index is Sensex which is decided by Top 30 companies listed in BSE. If this companies does well than sensex goes up and vice versa.

National Stock Exchange (NSE) is also India's leading stock exchange where more than 1200 companies are listed. Its index is Nifty and its decided by Top 50 companies listed.
